We're a culture that is becoming increasingly reliant on technology and quick fixes, but your talk really drove home the point that patient education will never be effective unless we customize teaching, built trusting relationships, and partner with our patients to help them learn how take care of themselves. The concepts are so simple, but we so easily lose sight of them when we get overwhelmed and feel like we have "no time to teach," as you put it!
